What she means: Gandhi was a racist, misogynist, sexist who said that the rape of a woman was her own fault. He slept with naked underage girls to test his celibacy and degraded them to mere sex objects. He talked foul things about his own wife, said that menstruation was the manifestation of the distortion of a woman’s soul, and yet he’s praised by the world for ‘bringing peace’.
He also regularly beat his wife, he was extremely antiblack and a vocal supporter of apartheid in South Africa, and said during the Holocaust that Jews should commit mass suicide to shame the Germans instead of resisting. And this is just for starters.

oh and not to mention trump’s FCC allowing a highly conservative news broadcasting company “Sinclair” to take over 72% of american households. this would mean that whenever most of us watch local news, random ass conservative-based segments would pop up. such as praising trump, blatand Islamophobia, and calling us “libtards” and “snowflakes” for simply wanting equal rights for the marginalized. pay very close attention to this bc the trump administration is literally trying to take over the media and if obama or any other president tried to pull this shit off they would be impeached immediately.
August 14 2017 - Protesters in Durham, North Carolina decide to take matters into their own hands and take down a confederate statue.
The statue represented a soldier who fought in the Civil War and an inscription on the front read “The Confederate States of America.”
One organizer of the protest told WNCN that toppling the statue was in response to the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va. this weekend.“It needs to be removed,” organizer Loan Tran told the news station. “These Confederate statues in Durham, in North Carolina, all across the country.” [video]
idk if any of you have twitter but today a user with the @ name heartcheol (they deleted now) is a 19 y/o who had a private acc dedicated to sexualizing nct dream, where she admitted that she was attracted to the “innocence” of minors and that minors “did things for her.” they even dated a 12 y/o and said that the reason they dated someone so young was bc it was “long distance and they wouldn’t have to do relationship things together.” the reason i say this on here even though they deleted is because they will be attending seventeen’s diamond edge in NYC with vip perks. please be very aware of this person. if they speak to you and you’re underage/make you uncomfortable, please inform security immediately.

There were literal nazis walking publicly in the streets, wearing nazi armbands and carrying nazi flags. They yelled antisemitic slurs and said “the Jews” wouldn’t replace them. One man said, in a open interview (so he clearly wasn’t ashamed), that his responsibility as a Republican was to kill Jews. Nazism is not a political party. It is a terrorist, white supremacist, antisemitic hate group. It is not a side.
I have family members who died in the Holocaust. I have met Holocaust survivors. You can say “never again” all you want, but it’s already happening again. The hate never truly ended. I am terrified to live in a country where these extreme acts of terror and violence are not openly condemned by all those in positions of power. I am terrified that it is not safe for me to be a Jewish person in most parts of the country. I am terrified that the media, and a lot of people on this site, do not always/usually talk about this.
It is not enough to say you want to punch a nazi. Please remember who they are targeting.
